What's Up Doc? : Recast

I love the Screwball comedies of the olden days The Jerk, The Rules of the Game, Jerry Lewis movies (that’s right, Jerry Lewis right up there with Renoir). One of my favorites is “What’s Up Doc?” directed by Peter Bogdanovich and watching it recently made me wonder who would be in the remake. Here’s my stab:

The stars: Babs and Ryan O’Neal:

Recast as Zoey Deshanel and Ashton Kutcher:

The roles of Eunice (Madeline Kahn) and Fredrick (Austin Pendleton):

Would go to Reece Witherspoon and Demitri Martin:

 

And Kenneth Mars, playing Hugh Simon:

 

would be played by either Jeff Goldblum or Jack Black, too close to call:
